Placing a small square on the flat top reveals just how much distortion has occurred on the shoulder.

So at this point I know the neck needs to come off, the neck brace needs to come off and I'll have to remove the top and bottom front support braces in order to get the neck brace out. I think it's important to point out that I know nothing about attempting any of this. Thank God for the internet!
